Phase Diagram of High-Tc Superconductors from a Field Theory Model

چکیده

The renormalization group approach to correlated fermions is used to determine the phase diagram of the oxide cuprates modeled by the t − t′ Hubbard model at the Van Hove filling. Spin–dependent interactions give rise to instabilities corresponding to ferromagnetic, antiferromagnetic and d-wave superconducting phases. Antiferromagnetism and d-wave superconductivity arise from the same interactions, and compete in the same region of parameter space. Typeset using REVTEX 1

Unconventional Superconductivity in Layered Organic Superconductors

Like the high-Tc copper oxides, organic superconductors are another class of superconductors that cannot be fully explained by the conventional BCS theory, due to the repulsive effective interactions between the charge carriers. Experiments display similarities between these systems and the high-Tc copper oxides in their pairing symmetry and their phase diagram. In this paper, some results from...

ادغام الگوی شبکه‌ای هولشتاین - کاندو برای توصیف نظریه ابررساناهای دمای بالا

It is a common knowledge that the formation of electron pairs is a necessary ingredient of any theoretical work describing superconductivity. Thus, finding the mechanism of the formation of the electron pairs is of utmost importance. There are some experiments on high transition temperature superconductors which support the electron-phonon (e-ph) interactions as the pairing mechanism (ARPES),...

Phase transitions in high-Tc superconductors and the anisotropic three-dimensional XY model

We carry out simulations of the anisotropic uniformly frustrated three-dimensional XY model, as a model for vortex line fluctuations in high-Tc superconductors. We compute the phase diagram as a function of temperature and anisotropy, for a fixed applied magnetic field B . We find that superconducting coherence parallel to B persists into the vortex line liquid state, vanishing at a Tcz above t...

Pressure effects on Ca60Al40 metallic glass superconductors

Theoretical computation of the pressure dependence superconducting state parameters of binary Ca60Al40 is reported using model potential formalism. Explicit expressions have been derived for the volume dependence of the electron–phonon coupling strength λ and the Coulomb pseudopotential μ* considering the variation of Fermi momentum KF and Debye temperature ӨD with volume. Well known Ashcroft’s...

A Unified Theory Based on SO(5) Symmetry of Superconductivity and Antiferromagnetism

The complex phase diagram of high-critical temperature (Tc) superconductors can be deduced from an SO(5) symmetry principle that unifies antiferromagnetism and d-wave superconductivity. The approximate SO(5) symmetry has been derived from the microscopic Hamiltonian, and it becomes exact under renormalization group flow toward a bicritical point. This symmetry enables the construction of a SO(5...
